Cathy Jones Art

Cathy's artistic journey began in 2004 when she was inspired by the masterful impressionists while studying in France. Subsequently, after graduating from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in French and a minor in Art History, she moved to New England and studied at the esteemed Harvard and Boston art museums. Following this, she relocated to Denver, Colorado and immersed herself in the art scene, absorbing knowledge from workshops at the Denver Art Museum and Denver Botanic Gardens.

Drawn to the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, Cathy settled in Evergreen, a creative mecca. Here, she found her muse in watercolors, producing contemporary works of mixed media. Her works have been featured in award-winning shows and galleries, sold nationally and internationally, and her two books about painting with watermedia have been widely praised. She continues to share her passion for art by teaching both adults and children.
